1. What we collect
We collect the following personal data when you use ParkOff:
- Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number.
- Vehicle details: make, model, color, and license plate, for Drivers who add a vehicle to their account.
- Approximate location: used to show nearby parking spaces and, for Hosts, to place a listing on the map.
- Booking and payment activity: bookings made or hosted, and payment confirmations from our payment gateway (we do not store your full card or bank details ourselves).
2. Why we collect it
We use this data to:
- Create and manage your account;
- Match Drivers with nearby available parking and let Hosts manage their listings;
- Process bookings and payments;
- Provide customer support and investigate disputes or goodwill claims;
- Meet our legal and tax obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where necessary:
- Payment gateway: to process payments and refunds.

Hosts: only for a Driver's confirmed booking, a Host receives the
Driver's name, vehicle details, and booking time — what's needed to recognize the
vehicle and manage the space. Likewise, a Driver with a confirmed booking can see the
Host's listing and location details needed to find the space.
- We do not sell personal data to third parties.
4. Retention
We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for a
reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations.
Booking and payment records tied to a completed transaction are retained even after
account deletion, since financial records cannot be erased on request — see below.
5. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the right
to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Withdraw consent for processing, where consent is the basis for that processing;
- Delete your account and have your personal data erased or anonymized, subject to the exception below;
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you do, we anonymize
your name, email, phone number, and vehicle details on our systems. Booking, payment, and
payout records are retained in anonymized form — they're tied to the transaction, not to
your readable identity — because we are legally required to keep financial and
transaction records for a period after they occur. We do not retain more personal data
than this after deletion.
